You may enjoy your work you do (impossible) or you may not be able to sit down for a couple of hours just to get away from your surroundings and the necessary-evil things. You may have filled your "working day" with things you like doing however it's still very important to take some time off to relax, tune out and do something different. How can you do that? Here are some ways I usually do to relax.
1. Take a Shower
Make sure, after your work, to remove your make up and take a shower so that your muscles relax completely. This step is very significant. I usually use dove skin care products because they make my body very soft but you can use whatever relaxes your own body. After the shower, you can put some body lotion and natural cream to your face. If you are lucky and there is one of the members of your family at this time at home, don't hesitate to ask for a massage.
2. Books and Candles
Let's point out that this is my favorite way to relax. If you love reading or live for reading like me, you will have already figured out that books are a good way to relax. Buy some books or comics of the kind you are interested in, lay on your bed and read. (*remember* don't overdo it.) For those who don't like spending their time in books, you can start reading a magazine or a newspaper. In that way, you can easily get informed for all kinds of news.
This summer I, personally, have a passion for candles. Buy a candle with the color and the smell you prefer and while reading, light it.
3. Movies
Watching a movie with or without your friends/family at the cinema or at home is an easy way to get away from your everyday life. If you are home, choose an interesting film, close all the lights and light some candles just to make a familiar and relaxing atmosphere.
4. Start Planning a Vacation
Crashing waves, warm sand, a gentle breeze ruffling your hair or snowmen, long walks, ski. Well, at least both images are nice. Take a map and start browsing the web for some future vacation spots. Sometimes the whole fun of a trip is in the planning, anyway.
5. Start Running
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, go for a quick stroll around the block. You’ll get the benefits of alone time, physical activity, and a few minutes to gather your thoughts!
6. Music
Listen to your favorite playlist and try not to think anything. You may be appealed to dancing. Research suggests people feel less anxious after 5 minutes of dancing. Move your body and shake it. You know...nobody is watching you.
7. Cuddle With a Pet
A boyfriend is okay but sometimes you prefer your pet. After a rough day, snuggle up with a pet for an instant slobbery smile, since pets can boost self'esteem and even ease the sting of social rejection.

For the creative ones, you can paint whatever you want or even play a musical instrument.
Try to eat healthy meals so that your nutrition harmonizes with your whole body.
And remember... relaxing is not wasting time. Don't ever believe that you don't need some relaxing time for yourself.
